Religious education (RE) classes for the 2008-2009 year are now completed. Nursery care is available throughout the summer for children up to age 4. Children age 5 and up are welcome to attend the services with parents/guardians in the Sanctuary. The Hearth Room and the courtyard are also available for parents to be with their children while hearing the service.
Religious education classes will start again on September 13th, 2009. Please see important dates below. Our RE program for the 2009-2010 year will be structured according to the Sundays in each month.
First Sundays will be "Sanctuary Days." Families of young children go to the Sanctuary first. After time with the minister, children are dismissed to the chapel for a multi-age chapel service.
Regular religious education for children age 3 - 17 will be on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month. Classes for children up to 1st grade will be available for both services. For children in 2nd - 12th grade, RE classes will be available for the 11:00 a.m. service only.
Fourth Sundays are designated service project days and may include field trips to various sites in the community.
The Children's choir will have its orientation on September 13th from 10:15 -10:45 a.m. There will be an opportunity to register your child for the choir on September 13th as well.
Other important dates to remember are:
- August 30th - RE Parent & Teacher in-gathering from 11:30 - 5 p.m.
- September 13th - RE Teacher trainings from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
