Church Community Bulletin Board
The Community Bulletin Board in the Commons fulfills a need in our church to have a place where church members and friends can post either a need that they have or a service they can supply to the rest of the church. It is hoped that this will be a wonderful resource for us to build community and help church members help each other. The only catch is that no money can change hands for the need or service.
Examples of services or items needed that could be posted on the bulletin board:
- Card table and chairs for a graduation party
- Top soil for gardens
- Names of a good housekeeper
- Snow removal services
- Names of a house-sitter
- Someone to help clean out a garage
Examples of services or items provided that could be posted on the bulletin board:
- Pet-sitting
- Garden plants in exchange for help with digging and dividing them
- Housecleaning service
- Free kittens
- Extra lumber
- Appliances that are working and in good shape
Postcards can be found hanging in an envelope on the board to complete with the information you want posted. Once completed, the postcards should be put in Trent Woodward's, Pastoral Care/Membership Coordinator’s mailbox in the hall to the office to be reviewed before posting. Please do not post your request yourself. Your card will be left up for one month then removed. Remember, no exchange of money can be involved in accordance with the Church General Policy regarding Solicitation on Church Premises. Also, the Church cannot be held accountable for any dealing between members or other persons using the Church Community Bulletin Board.
Contact Trent Woodward if you have any questions. We hope church members and friends will find this useful and fun, and a way to get to know and help each other.
